One of the most popular recording artists in Christian music, Michael has an impressive list of awards including 31 No. 1 singles, five RIAA-certified platinum and 16 gold projects, three GRAMMY Awards and 40 Dove Awards, plus an American Music Award.  But that’s not all . . . he’s also the founder and president of Rocketown Records.  You’d think that would keep him busy enough, but apparently not ― Michael established a Nashville-area church called New River Fellowship where he serves as co-pastor.  Michael and wife Debbie have five children; they live on a farm in Tennessee.
